Reaction time test
Five trials. Wait for the field to change, then tap.
Mindz tests are for entertainment, self-reflection, and learning. They are not medical or psychological diagnoses and they do not replace professional advice.
This is a simple reaction task. Wait until the panel changes, then tap or press Enter as fast as you can. Tapping early restarts the wait.
Device lag, a trackpad, and a tired hand all sit inside the number. Compare yourself to your own history first.
How to play
Five rounds.
The delay changes so you cannot count a rhythm.
Your result is the average of valid trials.
Anything under 80 ms is treated as a false start, not a record.
What your result suggests
Many adults on a simple light task land roughly between 200 and 350 ms, with a wide honest range. Faster is not wiser.
Mindz does not diagnose attention conditions from this number.
The other side of the result
Screen refresh, Bluetooth keyboards, and mobile taps add different delays.
The first trial is often noisy. That is why there are five.
Frequently asked questions
What is reaction time?
Here it is the gap between a visual change and your tap, in milliseconds.
Is this scientifically accurate?
No. Mindz uses a transparent, deterministic scoring method for entertainment and reflection. It is not a validated clinical or psychometric instrument.
Why was I slower on my phone?
Touch latency and how you hold the device often add time that has nothing to do with your nervous system.
Saved on this device only. Retaking adds a new result. It does not erase the earlier one.
