Random number
A number between the bounds you set.
Set a minimum and a maximum. Mindz returns one integer in that range, inclusive.
It uses the browser's random source. Do not use it for cryptography or gambling.
An integer between two bounds
The random number tool returns one integer between a minimum and a maximum you set, inclusive. It uses the browser's random source. That is enough for a board game at the table, a classroom example, a dice substitute, or a personal experiment that does not matter. It is not enough for cryptography, gambling, an official draw, or any use where someone could be harmed by a predictable or disputed result. Do not use it to pick a winner for a prize. Do not use it to assign a punishment. Do not use it as a fortune. Numbers feel objective because they are bare. Bare is not the same as meaningful.
Set the bounds before you look at the result, and do not quietly change them after. Changing bounds is the numeric version of rerolling a coin until you like the face. If you need several numbers, generate them one at a time and write them down outside the tool. The page is not a spreadsheet and it does not owe you a history. A history of random integers is clutter dressed as data. If you need a reproducible sequence for a real project, use a method you can explain to someone else, not a button on a mental-age website.
Fair enough, and no fairer
For casual use, the browser's generator is fair enough: each integer in range has a chance that is close enough to equal for a game among friends. It is not a certified draw. Mindz does not add theater, seals, or animations that imply more gravity than a dice cup. If a friend needs to trust the draw, use physical dice. Trust is a social problem. Software on one person's phone does not solve it. This humility is the same humility the site asks for on mental age. A number was produced by a method. The method has limits. Say the limits in the same breath as the number.
The mental math drill is the tool to open if you wanted to work with numbers rather than receive one. Number memory is the game if you wanted to hold digits. They share a vocabulary and not a purpose. People who like this button sometimes like those pages, and the suggestion strip will point at them. Liking numbers is not a personality type, even if a quiz would be happy to invent one. You can simply like a tool.
Do not attach the integer to your mental age
No, your Mindz age is not a random number, and a random number is not a second opinion on it. The age is deterministic from your answers. The same answers always produce the same age, which is the opposite of this button. That determinism is part of the ethics of the flagship test. You can audit the idea even if you never read the weight tables: nothing is shuffled to entertain you. This tool is shuffled, because you asked for a shuffle. Keep the two ideas apart. A site that randomizes a personality result and a site that rolls a die can share a designer and should not share a reputation.
If you are building a table game for friends, the button is a convenience. If you are trying to make a life decision feel like fate, close the tab. Fate is the wrong genre for Mindz. The articles argue, repeatedly, against costume science. A random integer in a mystic font would be costume. You get a plain integer instead. The plainness is respectful. Your choices remain yours, including the choice to take the mental age test and disagree with the paragraph it gives you.
Use it and go
Generate the number, write it down if the game needs it, and leave. Bookmark the page if you are in the middle of a board game night. Do not add it to a personal operating system. The decision maker is better when the options have names. Yes or no is better when the options are exactly two. This page is better when the options are a range of integers and nothing else.
When the game night is over, the rest of Mindz is the mental age test, the profile, the honest disclaimer, and a set of side rooms. Come for the age. Use the number tool if you happen to need a number. Take a quiz if you want a story and you remember it is a story. Play a memory game if you want a score that is about a grid. Read the privacy page if you want to know what stays on the device. The integer does not stay. The age stays only if you finished the test and did not clear local data. Both outcomes are under your control.
Stay with Mindz
Mental age is the main mirror. These games, tools, and quizzes look at one habit at a time, and they stay on this device.
