Daily reflection

One question. A short note. Kept here.

What is one thing you noticed about your attention today?

The prompt is deliberately small. A few honest sentences beat a performance.

Notes are not end-to-end encrypted in some special way. They sit in your browser's storage. Shared computers are a bad place for them.

    One question, a short note

Daily reflection on Mindz is a single prompt and a box. The default question asks what you noticed about your attention today. You can answer in a few honest sentences. A performance is easier to write and less useful to reread. Notes stay in local storage on this browser. They are not a special encrypted journal. They are convenient text on a device. If the computer is shared, do not use the box for anything tender. The dashboard can delete every Mindz key, including these notes. There is no cloud backup. Losing them is part of the design, which means you should not put the only copy of something important here.

The prompt is deliberately small so the page does not become a nightly essay assignment. If you want a different question, you can still answer the one asked and add a clause, or you can use the note for the question you actually have. The tool is a box. The prompt is a suggestion. Mindz is not grading insight. There is no streak that depends on being profound. If you skip a day, nothing resets except your own expectation. The daily challenge elsewhere is the streak object, and it is a game, not a journal.

What a useful note looks like

Useful notes are concrete. I reread the same paragraph six times after lunch. I left the phone in the kitchen and the timer worked. I agreed to a plan I already knew I would resent. Those sentences can teach you something a week later. Useless notes are slogans. I should be more present. I need to be disciplined. Slogans feel like reflection and contain no scene. If you notice a slogan under your fingers, add one fact or delete the line. The mental age test already collects the abstract version of you. This box is for a scene. If you only ever write slogans, go back to the test and the profile, which at least show their arithmetic.

Do not use the box as a medical diary. Do not use it to record someone else's secrets. Do not use it as a place to spiral. If writing makes the day worse, stop writing. A tool that harms the hour it occupies is the wrong tool, no matter how wholesome the word reflection sounds. The mood tracker is lighter if a word is safer than a paragraph. Breathing is available if you want no language at all. None of these is care. Care is a person, when you need a person.

Attention, curiosity, and the main mirror

The prompt mentions attention because Mindz spends a lot of pages on it: focus test, Stroop, timer, articles. A note is how you find out whether any of that touched an actual day. If the note says you played three games and avoided the task you named this morning, believe the note. Near transfer is not a moral failure. It is a design limit of games, and the article on brain games says so. The reflection box is where that limit becomes personal without becoming a score.

Curiosity shows up here as the itch to write a better insight than you have. You can scratch it lightly and stop. The mental age curiosity bar, if it is high, predicts exactly that itch. A high bar does not obligate you to produce a clever note. It is a hint that you may abandon a plain sentence for a more interesting one and lose the fact. Keep the fact. The age on your dashboard is the site's main metaphor. Let it stay interesting on its own page. Let this page stay plain. A house needs a plain room.

    Rereading, then leaving

Read last week's notes once, not every night. Nightly rereading turns the box into a mirror you cannot put down. When you reread, look for repeated scenes, not for a theme you can brand. If the same interruption appears three times, you have a candidate for the habit tracker or for a change of room. If the notes are all different, you had a varied week. That is not a lack of identity. Identity is what quizzes overproduce. You can take one, later, if you still want a nickname after you have seen the scenes.

The suggested path back through the site starts at mental age, especially if the notes are about how you plan or avoid. It continues, if you want, to the focus timer as a container for the scene you keep describing. It does not require a game. Share nothing from this box. The share tools on Mindz are for result labels, not for private sentences. If a sentence is good enough to keep, copy it somewhere you control. Then the local Mindz copy can be deleted without grief.

Mental age is the main mirror. These games, tools, and quizzes look at one habit at a time, and they stay on this device.
